We are having a few winter visitors showing up in the last few days. Goldfinch
are making a show in numbers again and today I noticed 2 Common Grackles (male
& female), 2 Redwinged Black Birds (male & female),Chickadee, Titmouse, Wrens
Carolina, White-throated Sparrows and a couple of days ago we had 2 or more
Juncos. I noticed over the past week or so a pair of Downy Woodpeckers are
visiting our suit.

As I make my walk around the mountain each day I've observed a couple of
Kingfishers and a couple of Blue Herons on the Levisa River. Also 3 Wood Ducks
two male and one female. The usual number of Crows and yesterday I observed a
Killdeer in the grave yard located a couple of 100 yards from our house. This
was a first for me in the Big Rock area.
