Hi All,
This coming Saturday, Oct 9th. the Buchanan County Bird Club will lead a bird
walk in the Breaks Park. We will meet at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot in front
of the lodge. We will bird Potter's Knoll and the path around the lake. Around
noon we will go to the lodge for lunch and for those who want to continue we
will do more birding in the afternoon.
Also on Saturday, November 6th, members of the BCBC will travel to Bluestone
Dam at Hinton WV to look for waterfowl and eagles. Hopefully, as in past years,
we will be joined by our friends of the Bibbee Nature Club of Bluefield. It is
an all day outing with lunch at the Dairy Queen in Hinton (which has a great
view of the river) and birding along the New River to Sandstone Falls. We
usually meet at the Wal-Mart at Claypool Hill and caravan from there. I will
post more details as the time draws near.
