About a week or so ago I saw the first Chipping Sparrow of the season. On
Thursday, March 23, the first three Tree Swallows appeared here on the
mountain. On Saturday evening I heard the FOS Brown Thrasher singing from a
tree in our yard. This morning the Brown Thrasher was feeding at our suet
feeder. A short time later a male and female Purple Finch came to the seed
feeder.
Almost every day I hear one or two Common Ravens flying overhead. They must
be nesting somewhere nearby. Spring is here.
