Yesterday, the Beaver Pond had a pair of Pied-billed Grebe resting and feeding
while a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker tapped away on a nearby tree. Both of these
were my first of the season sightings of their species.
Today a pair of Sapsuckers showed up in the Cherry tree in our yard. The
Red-shouldered Hawk was also at our place today as it is most days. Palm
Warblers, Blue-headed Vireos and Yellow-rumped Warblers verified that Fall is
in the air!
