For those interested NASA is planning to launch a test spacecraft at 7:05 a.m. tomorrow morning. It is the newly developed Orion craft that is modeled on the old Apollo capsule. This is the craft that will be used later on for missions to Mars. Orion was supposed to launch this morning but had to be scrubbed because of wind gusts and a technical problem. This is an unmanned launch that will orbit the earth a couple of times for about 2 hours then splash down in the Pacific Ocean where it will be retrieved. If all goes well, the U.S. will once again be working toward more manned space missions. Coverage can be seen on the NASA channel and on the Weather channel. The people on the weather channel did a good job this morning of explaining the mission and of keeping everyone informed of what was happening at Cape Canaveral. Roger Mayhorn Compton Mt
