Here are a couple more photos of the Great Blue Heron Rookery recently found
on Dismal by BCBC member Daryl Owens. Something on the mountain spooked the
birds, and 11 took to the air at the same time. We saw at least 15 birds at
one time.
The second photo is of the 11 in the air.
Many thanks to Daryl Owens for finding our first Great Blue Heron rookery on
the Levisa River. We have searched for one for several years.
