Fellow Birder Gary Poteat took these recent photos of two Mandarin Ducks at 
Black Mountain, NC. Mandarin Ducks are native to China, Japan and Russia with 
some smaller populations elsewere. According to Wikipedia there is a limited 
feral population at Black Mountain. Here is a link
