The annual BCBC trip to Hinton WV will be on Saturday, Nov. 4th. For those
who have not gone before, we take Rt 460 to Princeton, WV then take Rt 20
North past Pipestem State Park to Hinton. In Hinton we meet our friends of
the Bibbee Nature Club, who will bird with us. In the morning we will bird
Bellepoint Park and Mountain Valley Lake. After lunch at the Dairy Queen in
Hinton we will drive along the New River to Sandstone Falls looking for
waterfowl and other birds along the way. We always have a great time on this
trip with lots of good birds including eagles, lots of ducks, mergansers and
other waterfowl.
If anyone wants to caravan some of us will leave the Walmart at Claypool
Hill at 7:30. We will then travel to Hinton where we will meet the Bibbee
group around 9:00 a.m. alongside Bluestone Lake just across the Lilly Bridge
near Hinton. Come join us for a great day of birding on a fall day.
