Dave, glad to see you are getting good use out of that great camera. Nice
photos with the dogwood berries as a background. Unfortunately, our dogwoods
didn’t bear this year due to a late frost, and I miss seeing the birds in them.
I have a few more White-throated Sparrows, but no Purple Finches yet.

Rainy morning inspired me to do a little "window birding". All of these pics
were taken from an upstairs window overlooking the dogwood trees beside our
house. They were all taken in a thirty minute time span. I was even surprised
with the number of species represented in such a short time. A few escaped my
camera, such as; Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Carolina Chickadee, Titmouse,
White-breasted Nuthatch and Mockingbird. The Purple Finch were new arrivals
today. I'm afraid these berries won't last until Sparrow Day but we have lots
of other attractions around our place. Not a lot of sparrows yet but hopefully
they will be here soon.
