  Hi All,
I received this from our friend and fellow birder, Larry Pinson of Wheatley,
KY. I debated about putting it on the listserve, but since the photos were so
great and it didn't take but a couple of minutes to download to my dial-up box,
I decided to post it.

Eagle in Alaska - AN AWESOME SIGHT FOR ANYONE
  a note with the photograph:
Yeah, the cold temperatures (-5 F) came with a deep blue sky. The wind
hasn't started and the snow from earlier in the week is still piled up. You can
see that when the eagles landed, they knocked the snow off their branches.
This was about 400 foot from our house in Eagle River , Alaska .
