I have been watching the weather reports all day and they keep going back
and forth as to whether we will get an accumulation of snow on Friday night
into Saturday. After watching WCYB this evening with its forecast for 1-4
inches with dropping temperatures I am changing our Buchanan County CBC day
from Saturday to Sunday, Dec. 23. I know some people won't be able to
participate because of other obligations, and that's understandable. We will
do what we can.
If the roads still look a bit bad on Sunday morning start your count a
little later.
Also keep in mind that birds found 3 days before the Count Day and 3 days
after can be added to our list as Count Week Birds. So, if anyone sees any
unusual birds within the 15 mile circle during that time, be sure to report
them to me.
If anyone lives within the count circle, who cannot participate by traveling
around to count birds, but would keep a list of birds at their feeders on
Sunday that would also help with the count.

Since rain is supposed to begin around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday we will meet at
4:00 for a compilation dinner at The Dragon's Den Restaurant.
