I have been watching the weather forecast for the area and especially for
Burkes Garden. Intellicast is now giving two weather advisories for that
area, one for gusty winds and blowing snow with an accumulation of 2 4
inches by midday Saturday, the other for a wind chill factor of 5 -15 below
zero with winds blowing 20 -30 mph. The temperature will be 8° Saturday
morning with a high of 12° for the day. Due to these conditions I am
postponing the outing until next Saturday, February 20. At the moment the
forecast for next Saturday is fair weather with a high of 52° for The
Garden. I will continue to monitor the areas weather. Hopefully, we will be
able to have an enjoyable outing with good birding next weekend.
Watch out for slick roads. We have snow moving into our area also.
