Thanks to the efforts of dedicated individuals, the Friends of NRA program
has spent
the last 25 years supporting the shooting sports for future generations.

"Seven years ago I took over as Chairman of the Harvard Sportsmen's Club
Junior Marksmen Program. At that time there were only a few juniors in the
program. At the same time, I took over as Vice-Chairman of the Central
Massachusetts Friends of the NRA.
Thru publicity and word of mouth I have gradually increased the Junior
Marksmen Program to about 30 Juniors and 5 NRA certified coaches as it is
today.I could not have done this without the great support of the Harvard
Sportsmen's Club and the NRA Grants that we received totaling more than
$8,000 for Anshutz precision small bore rifles. I knew this was granted
because of monies raised thru efforts of the members of the Central
Massachusetts Friends of the NRA by gun raffles, sponsorships,
underwriting's, other donations, and the hard work performed by our committee
at our great annual NRA Banquet.
I am very grateful for my grant request's thru the State committee to the NRA
Foundation to be selected; and hopefully will continue in the future. That is
why I continue to do my best to raise funding with Friends of NRA and
continue teaching to increase the safety, fun, and marksmanship for juniors
in the shooting sports. "

The 2017 NRA Youth Education Summit is coming up fast!
This year we are ecstatic to welcome 46 amazing high school sophomores and
juniors from across the country representing 35 states, including Alaska and
Hawaii! It is always moving to see students from many different backgrounds
become lifelong friends during the program, and we trust this year’s class
will be no different. Our Y.E.S. students will spend the week in Washington,
D.C., learning about leadership, patriotism and U.S. history. But how can we
accomplish so much in just one week? Loads of energy and not much sleep! That
energy is devoted to discovering NRA programs, exploring museums, honoring
our military and discussing current events.
