Hi Jack,
I'm not going to be able to attend the practice tonight. I had a spinal
injection at Kent Hospital this morning and I'm still feeling the effects of
the sedative that they gave me before the procedure. I thought it would have
worn off by now. I shouldn't be driving, let alone operating a handgun. I would
like to attend next Tuesday's practice however.
Also, if I need to get the money to you for the match, just let me know where
to send the check.
Thank you,
Mike

Hi Action Shooters -
Tuesday night practice: Barry will be setting up an IDPA stage to prepare
for our August 7th match and I'll be chrono testing some rounds for the IDPA
New England Regional championship. If your curious what your power factor
is, pop on by and we'll chrono you up!
Come on out and give Barry's stage a try and fall in love with IDPA! The
targets are close and problem solving is minimal - it's really fun to shoot!
August 7th, IDPA match: Our awesome match director Wade Price and his staff
of engineering geniuses will be cooking up 6 stages of pure shooting bliss!
Here's the link to sign up for the August 7th Match. It's half full so
please sign up soon before we announce it to the public later this week.

USPSA Match Director wanted: I'm tied up for both the August and September
match dates. Lets cancel the August match since there are two big matches
scheduled for that weekend: IDPA NER championships and Wallum Lake's Walls
of Steel. I recommend that shooters try WOS as it's a hoot to shoot! Friday
slots are still available, everything else is sold out.
In September I'll be at the IDPA Nationals in Texas and miss our match date.
If some one could step up and be the MD, that would be great! I'll work with
you extensively with the stages and Practiscore so you'll breeze right
through it.
It sucks to live in Massachusetts: Last Tuesday the attorney general broke
the law and declare the sale of certain rifles to be illegal. She doesn't
get it - Her job is to enforce the law, not reinterpret it. This will cause
a tremendous hardship to gun shop owners not to mention the infringement of
the rights of law abiding citizens.
Rhode Island is sandwiched between Ma and and CT - two of the nuttiest anti
gun states in the union. So its imperative that we support our Pro Second
amendment legislators and activists. Our matches are attend by
Representative Justin Price, and activists Rodney Santos and David Eikeland
who diligently protect the gun rights of Rhode Islanders. When you see them,
give 'em a pat on the back and a hearty thank you for all they do.
Fight now and give money and support while its easy and not after our rights
have been stripped and its hard. Remember, it could easily happen here if we
let our guard down even for a second.
I think that's all the news for this week, but please chime in you have
something to add.
Thanks and best wishes,
Jack
