Hi Peter,
Just to let you know how it went yesterday - There was a junior debate of four
teams, and then a senior debate of four teams. Four teams total were then
selected for one grand final; both of the Broxburn teams made it into the
final. This was pretty amazing considering it was the first time for all of
them. They were then very close to winning, but after a difficult decision, it
was given to Linlithgow Academy who had a team of two sixth years; the extra
years development over our S3/4s just edged it for them. Meg Wishart (S3) was
singled out as the best speak of the day however, which is brilliant for her
first time doing it. All of the girls seemed to have fun. I have attached a
photo.
