I have wheeled tables in our library and love them!! The space where we have
tables and chairs is often used for group meetings, classes, and performing
arts rehearsals 3 days/week. Yes, much dancing and singing in our library!
I got large(4'x6') oak tables from York School in Monterey when they were
remodeling. I refinished them and my husband put heavy duty wheels on them. I
truly appreciate the ability to reconfigure the seating and study areas. I do
think that if the tables were light weight, students would be tempted to "ride"
them and that could be problematic. Mine are very heavy oak.
I think wheeled chairs would be nice, but only if they also stack.
Good luck! Gail

How lucky, new furniture! Rachel, this idea would not be for you, but...we
wanted tables on wheels in the instructional space of the library because we
like to change things around all the time. But the existing tables matched the
decor perfectly, and were in good shape. So we had wheels put on the legs; it
was such a simple and cheap fix. We love it.BTW This is the 20th Anniversary of
our library. It still functions so well. Before school today there were 150+
students studying/reading/chilling in here.Judy

If you have wheeled tables and/or chairs that you like in your library, could
you email me the vendor/manufacturer of them?
Thank you!
Rachel
