Hi, Bernie,
I second *Mexican Whiteboy* by Matt de la Pena. This book does a
powerful job of describing what it's like to not be enough-- neither
Mexican enough, nor white enough, in either culture. The prep school
dynamics that Danny must navigate figure prominently in moving the plot
forward, and especially in Danny's development.
Another title that is older non-fiction, but a wonderful book on exactly
this topic, is *Black Ice*, by Lorene Cary, the first African American
female student at her formerly all-white, all-male prep high school.
Best,
Mary Ann

Anyone have suggestions for books about students who balance two worlds

another area? Bonus if the student is of color. So far this is all I have:
