I think Newsela is terrific, and highly recommend it to our teachers. Great
selection of articles, with new articles published each weekday. I love the
way students can choose the reading level that's right for them. They have
also just started a great integration with Google Classroom, which we'll be
using in Berkeley. Here's my write-up on it:

I also like the NYT resources, but they tend to be more difficult to read
so I don't recommend them for elementary kids. Your 6th graders might find
them engaging. Here is a very interesting series of documentary videos on
