Hi everyone,
Our principal thinks it might not make sense for kids to be reading ebooks
on Sora because they're online for the entire day already for remote
learning. In my next meeting with him, I'm planning to let him know there
are audiobooks as well which don't require screen time.
For other schools that are fully in remote learning right now, is your
admin saying anything about not promoting Sora due to too much screen time?
How much are students at your schools reading on Sora during remote
learning? Are parents saying anything about how ebooks don't make sense
during full online learning?
How much are you promoting usage of Sora?
Also, the middle school Language Arts teachers at my school are all
requiring class sets of Sora for class reads, but at the same time, our
principal posed the question to me of how reading ebooks may not make sense
right now.
