Hi Nicole,
I wish I could make this meeting because Quarry Lane is the most diverse school
I have ever seen, but I will be returning that afternoon from an IB training in
Los Angeles. Could I possibly get any notes or handouts that the presenters
distribute? Or will there be an online link that I could take a look at? Please
don’t go to a lot of trouble. Looking forward to our next meeting.
Thank you,
Alice Franco, Librarian
Quarry Lane School

Subject: [baisl] October 24th BAISL meeting: More details
Hello BAISL,
Thank you to everyone who has registered for our October 24th BAISL meeting at
Marin Academy in San Rafael, from 9am to 3pm. There is still time to register,
please RSVP here on the BAISL website<http://baisl.org/event-2340825>.
The agenda is taking shape. I am excited to announce that Britt Anderson,
Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Prospect Sierra, will be joining us to
talk about how she moved from librarian into her current role. We will follow
this with small group discussions about the various roles we each take on in
our schools. We will also hear from Jeff Chang (Prospect Sierra), Tana Perotin
(Bellarmine), and Rachel Shaw (the Bay School) about the work they are engaging
in at their schools around equity, inclusion, and diversity.
There will also be time for conversation and catching up!
Best,
Nicole.
