Hi Lisa,
In the past, books were assigned for each grade level. This year, we are
thinking about having one or two middle school reads. No decision has been
made yet.

choose books for their students and what books are you reading this year? I
help choose them each year for each grade and this year I'm a bit stuck and
could use some fresh ideas. For example in the past:
6th-grade Refugee
7th-grade Free Lunch
8th-grade All American Boys
