We are currently recruiting new board members. Perhaps you are interested or
know someone who would be a great addition to our board? Our board members
make a three-year commitment to volunteer 10-20 hours each month; they
participate in making decisions around both strategy and direction of the
organization and then execute those decisions with the help of other
volunteers. We are looking for people who are willing to roll up their
sleeves and work hard to start about 300 libraries each year and plan for
future growth. We are specifically looking for board members who have one or
more of the following skills:
* Social Media
* Marketing/Public Relations
* Event Planning/Fundraising
* Finance/Accounting
* Salesforce
Our ideal board member will have a passion for Africa and literacy, and we
prefer board members with experience in Africa.
