Here is the latest from Gale about updated pricing for their databases for
NEW subscribers. For complete pricing information please go to the

Gale is thrilled to be partnering with BAISL and honored that so many
members use Galeresources. This does not affect current subscribers --
pricing for those schools will continue at the current levels, with minimal
annual increases to keep up with new developments and technology.
Regarding the pricing for new subscribers, this is only a slight increase
from previous pricing, and I believe the first increase since the package
was introduced six years ago. In any case, these prices are the deepest
discounts anywhere in California, and likely the U.S.; most schools would
pay $10,000 to $15,000 for the same collection of resources. Plus we are
continuing the flexibility to customize the resource lineup to meet the
unique needs of each independent school.
I appreciate the BAISL schools’ patience while we’ve had a vacant sales
position for a few months, and I’m glad to report that we have a new person
starting, right in San Francisco. She will be in training this month, and
then I’ll send a note out next month to introduce you. In the interim,
I’ve listed myself, Tricia, and Tammi as your key contacts, for any
immediate needs. I am based in Santa Monica, and hope to get to meet you
next time I’m in the Bay Area. Gale values its relationship with BAISL
