Dear BAISL_members.

Here's a unique opportunity that may gain you some insight on your own open
educational resources curation practices.

<snip>

During the next 2 years, supported by an IMLS National Leadership Grant,
ISKME is working with Florida State University School of Information and a
national Advisory Board of experts in library practice and continuing
education to create a framework for facilitating K-12 librarians in curating
and promoting open educational resources (OER) to enhance teaching and
learning. We will conduct case studies with school librarian leaders in OER
to document digital curation practices and workflows, identify how
librarians can lead in all aspects of OER use to align with district goals
and fulfill student needs, and create and disseminate practical
recommendations that have the potential to advance open digital resource
collections for the benefit of all students, educators, and communities.

<snip>

If interested, complete this pre-survey:
<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MB9YSG5>
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MB9YSG5 by September 30th.  ;

 If selected for case studies, school librarians will participate in a
two-hour, in-person interview session, at their convenience, with our
researcher, about their curatorial practices and engagement with OER. And,
for an in-depth description of participation, please see:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HKhjzbMq-aImpDrixEPyQG6TfETTmD5U3k7GvE1L
NMA/edit?ts=59a448d9 For those who end up being chosen there's either  $750
for case study participants (2-hour f2f interview and feedback virtually, no
need to create anything) and $250 for non-case study participants (no
interview, only virtual feedback and communications).

If you want more info, let me know and I'll put you in touch with one of the
PI's from the grant.

best,

debbie
