He didn't have a chance. He was waiting at the light for it to change
and they executed him. I have been told using AK47s or similar copies.

SAN ANTONIO - A Bexar County Deputy was shot and killed Saturday morning
while responding to an accidental shooting call on the city's East Side. The
shooting happened at Rigsby Ave and SE Loop 410.
Sgt. Kenneth Vann, 45, was in his patrol car at a traffic light on Rigsby
when a white car with several people in it pulled up next to him and opened
fire, striking the deputy several times. The patrol car then rolled forward,
hitting safety barrels under Loop 410. Sgt. Vann was responding to a call
on Old Corpus Christi Road at the time of the shooting.
Sgt. Vann leaves behind a wife who is also a Sargeant with the Sheriff's
office, 2 sons and a daughter. The Sheriff's office is asking that anyone
who may have any information about the murder of Sgt. Vann please call the
Sheriff's Office at 210-335-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP.
