Good to hear you'll be coming to Cambridge; sounds like we'll have quite a
decent turnout of B1s here.
To answer your question, Dawn Fradgley came second at Newcastle; it was
only her second tournament - she finished third in the nationals back in
October. She'll also be at the Cambridge tournament.

It was great to see group members Nikhil, Lara, Nadeem and Steve at
the Newcastle tournament a couple of weeks ago, and for those who
weren't there, it was generally a good weekend, with 12 B1 players
out of, I think, 47 total. My only regret was not getting to play
Nik, and respect to Steve and Wendy for great organisation,
especially with Steve's injured arm - I hope that's recovering well
- Any other comments anyone?
The winner, as ever, was the great Kelly Cronin. Can anyone convince
her to join this group as it would be good to have her input and
hopefully useful for her too? Plus any others you can contact.
I still think there's a need for this Email group even if it's
quiet. For example, there have been a couple of events, in
Birmingham and Brighton, which it would have been good to know
about. I see from the FaceBook group that the Cambridge tournament
will be opening soon, and somebody told me that it's planned for
Saturday 18 July. Nik, or anyone, do you have any further news on
that and when it's open for applications? Our club is hoping to send
a few people.
