Marc Buie of the Lowell staff has recently rigged a couple of
Webcams in windows of our 1.1-m telescope. One is in color and works
only during daylight. The other is a Watec 903K that is able to record
stars down to about mag. 8 and is intended for us to be able to check
for thin cirrus. After several weeks of testing and software development,
they are now up and running, accessible from:

http://www.lowell.edu/users/buie/wxpix

The nighttime camera points northwest, and currently shows Cassiopeia
setting after dusk each night. The flat glow low on the horizon (behind
the dome of the 1.8-m telescope) is the skyglow from Flagstaff.
The link to "equipment used" contains technical details about the
cameras and also stuff about the software set-up.
