Paul do you go to the top of the little hill where there is a fairly large
flat area that seemed to be used as a cowboy camp by the wire corral ?

I'm probably going to Griffin Fri and Sat nights. It's getting hit with a
T-storm right now, but things are drying out and it should be good. The
clear sky clocks are best to the west, but I'm not sure I can take another
long day on black desert pavement where the temperatures are 137,000 degrees
regardless. I'll decide tomorrow around noon when a better weather
assessment is possible.

I like the top of the little hill just to the northeast of the EVAC Griffin
Ranch site unless there are big winds.

My plans for now are to go to Griffen Ranch for Saturday night. I will try
to leave around noon, but will make a final decision around 10:00 Sat
morning depending on weather forecast. The CSC show clear skies for most of
the state , but poor to bad seeing for Friday. Since I work out in the heat
all day long I choose not to go to the Antenna site, but opt for the 4300 ft
elevation for this trip.

For those that go to Griffen ranch be aware that there is more than one site
that are used. They are all within seeing distance of each other. A couple
are a little farther off the road. Most setup at the fork in the road, Beevo
and I travel a little east of the main road as it does get some, not allot ,
of local traffic.

The forecast for Antennas remains the clearest - Griffin Ranch is OK, but
may have T-Storms tonight - is one day enough to dry out? If anyone's going
to either venue for tomorrow night can you post? Ken? Thanks... (I'd a
thought after 2 ½ mo. of muck and murk there'd be a line to get in...)

Dark-sky starved,

Eric
