The asteroid 2017 BH30 is passing within several earth diameters of us
tonight. These two images were taken earlier tonight, when it was more than
twice that far away (still very close), and moving across the sky at a rate
of "only" 1 degree per four minutes.
The asteroid's motion causes it to trail during the 25-second exposures.
Field of view is roughly 8' square.
