I've posted two eclipse images from my Carbondale trip. Although the the clouds
cleared nicely, there was more haze than I realized. I used a 60 year old 4-1/4
inch f/4 Newtonian reflector (432mm fl) made by a neighbor and myself. It was
mounted on "the Contraption" equatorial fork mount, as Lori calls it. The scope
has good resolution in the central part of the image with no chromatic
aberration or ghost reflections. However, Regulus was 1.3 degrees off-center
and shows huge amounts of coma.
