The latest SOHO image from 9:32 a.m. today shows Comet Lovejoy with a tail 
that's about 1 1/2 degrees long.  Folks who are good at estimating magnitudes 
from this sort of image are putting it at around 1st magnitude.  When the 
magnitude goes below zero, we will expect to see some horizontal CCD blooming 
spikes emanating from the head of the comet.
