Whom It May Concern,
I had the misfortune of having my telescope stolen. I wanted to ask you to
spread the word and keep an eye out at any star parties in the unlikely
event it shows up. I ran this description on astromart:
On Wednesday August 27th my homebuilt 10" f/6 dobsonian was stolen. $500
reward for intact recovery. This is a truss tube scope with recognizable
features and components:
RF Royce primary serial # 214
ProtoStar 1.83" quartz secondary with 3 vane spider
Feathertouch focuser
Moonlight Systems 1" ball and socket truss tubes. Design used 6 tubes
instead of the customary 8 (no lower azimuth pair)
Apply ply construction on the rocker and mirror box, colonial maple finish.
Upper cage is Baltic Birch, same finish.
Mirror box has 2 fans to blow across the mirror from the bottom and a vent
on the opposite side of the box with a mahogany louvre.

Of course as a home built it has many more unique and recognizable features
that would easily identify it. Any information you may come across would be
