Mike,

What a wonderful object. Looks like your new C11 Edge is a keeper.

Nice job. Regards - George

Subject: [AZ-Observing] Omega Centauri from Hovatter

While each image I see posted on AZ-Observing reminds me how far I have
to
go, I managed to capture an image over the weekend that I thought was
pretty
good and I'd like to share it. Friday night at the Messier Marathon was
quite nice and I managed to get some really nice shots before the
temperature dropped and I chose not to check the focus. If anybody's
interested in what M8 looks like to a person with 20/200 vision, I
probably
have a representative image from the other night - but I digress.
Ken Naiff and I had discussed shooting Omega Centauri back at the
beginning
of March at the Antennas site. While I chose to sleep instead, he did
indeed image it and his excellent results are in this month's SAC
newsletter. Seeing his results motivated me to put it on my must shoot
list
for this past weekend and here are the results. 48 exposures x 30
seconds
with a C11 EdgeHD/Hyperstar and an unmodified Canon 60d. Comments and
criticisms are always appreciated.
