Travis here.
I've decided to give Astrophotography another try. Problem is, all my gear is
about ten years old and I'd like to avoid buying new stuff where I can. Among
the things I have are two Meade Deep Sky Imager Cameras. I'd like to set one of
them up as a guide scope on a modified Celestron finder (my "shooting scope
will be an 8" Celestron Edge). But that's where the problem arises. I don't
have the CD's.
I've loaded "Autostar Suite" (from the Meade site) on a dedicated XP laptop.
I've resurrected tons of old software and modified more, but I can't get PHD
(or anything else) to recognize the DSI camera. I've even found drivers for the
DSI's, but I don't know how to load them.
So the question becomes: Does anyone have any old Meade Autostar Suite CD's or
any ideas on how I can get the laptop to recognize the DSI? If I can't get them
running they become miniature boat anchors and I'll have to buy an Orion
Starshoot.
Any help greatly appreciated.
