Hi Mike,

I agree with the others on a job well done. While he includes the details
here, he also did a fantastic job last night at the monthly SAC meeting
presenting all the planning, hardware and steps taken in its creation.
Excellent work all around.

Thank you,

Jimmy Ray

Subject: [AZ-Observing] North American & Pelican Nebulae Mosaic

Hello all,
After a great evening out at the Antennas last weekend I'd like to unveil my
latest image - North American & Pelican Nebulae
Mosaic<http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6079/6037815792_3d1549a3c2_o.jpg>
.

The exposure consists of 24 exposures x 2 minutes each x 4 frames to
complete the mosaic. Images were captured with a QHY8PRO CCD Camera through
a Hyperstar equipped Celestron 1100HD telescope operating at f/2. Capture,
Calibration & Stacking was done with Maxim DL 5.15 and all post-processing
was done in Photoshop CS5. This is my first attempt at using Photoshop's HDR
Toning in an astrophoto, and I pushed it right to the limit of what I'd
consider acceptable processing, perhaps even a bit past that mark.

Mike
