Since you have been there a couple of times now.... (Massacre grounds
Trailhead Parking Lot)
This is in the Tonto National Forest. Were there any signs at the trailhead
parking lot indicating that a Tonto NF Permit was required for parking there??
Most of their Recreational locations in that area do require it.
If so, then daily, multi-daily, and annual permits are available. And the
penalty for not having it is .... not small.
Anyway, if it is NOT signed.... then no issue.
Thought I would ask.

It's almost as dark as picketpost, less visited by locals and a little
closer to town.
I plan on being out all night if all goes well.
