Bernard, great image. That is one of the weirdest objects in the deep sky.
Is that a color image? It looks almost B&W, but there are areas that appear
full color. Some of the star field outside the nebula look a little soft,
but the stars are nice and round. Maybe it is the influence of the season,
but the bubble looks sort of like a Halloween jack-o-lantern. Two eyes up
top, right one with a glint in his evil eye. A nose, and then a mouth on
the bottom. Very festive!

Hi,
This is an image of NGC 7635, also known as the Bubble Nebula. It is an
emission nebula about 7,000 light years away in the constellation
Cassiopeia. The bubble is created by the stellar winds from star SAO 20575
near the center of the nebula. This ismage was captured and processed using
Ha and OIII filters with RGB data for the stars.
