If that's a bad shot, Jon, I hate to see a good one! 
It just shows you don't need color to make a great image. I like the detail in 
the arms while still preserving the nucleus.

Hello AZ-Observers,
Here's a shot of NGC 1300 I took in October that I actually gave up on 
including shooting color for it because of the weather/seeing etc.  Not to be 
one to throw out even bad data I have posted it on my website:

The object is low on the horizon here in AZ so not such a good photographic 
subject but I love the barred spiral structure of it.
