A few guidelines for posting to this mailing list, determined
empirically through past failures:
ASCII only. You must configure your email client to send only 7-bit
characters. HTML, UTF-8, Unicode, etc. simply confuse the list server,
resulting in garbled messages as we've seen again today.
No leading spaces. The first line of the message must start with a
non-space, non-control character, e.g. A-Z, a-z, 0-9. Paragraphs must
also start with a printable character, so no indentation is allowed.
URLs may be posted, but cannot be enclosed in angle brackets. A
consequence of this constraint is that long links may wrap, making them
awkward to follow.
