Hi, all,

I have a new announcement about a free astronomy lecture at the Arizona
Science Center, which is being put together by the Cornell Club of Arizona;
it is free and you are all welcome to attend! Please pass this along to any
of your club members who may not receive this email.
On Monday evening, April 26th, Professor Martha Haynes of Cornell
University's Astronomy Department will be presenting a lecture on "Mapping
the Universe" at the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix. An informal
reception will be held at the Science Center beginning at 5:30 p.m.,
followed by the lecture at 6:15 p.m.
Dr. Haynes
(<http://www.astro.cornell.edu/people/facstaff-detail.php?pers_id=104>) will
be discussing the use of the Mt. Palomar optical telescope in conjunction
with the radio antenna at Arecibo to map the universe, and will discuss the
scientific issues, current observations, and where the next decade will
likely take us.
I would like to invite you and your associates to attend this free
presentation and meet with Dr. Haynes.
If you have any questions, or would like additional information, please feel
free to contact me.
