We may not have gotten in as much observing as we had hoped, but despite the crappy weather we still had a great time. Even if it's clouded over its nice to get away from the desert heat and out into the forests. Saturday night we were able to get some reasonable deep sky observing in and an OK view of Jupiter. By early Sunday morning it did completely clear with a bright and distinct Milky Way visible. After a few hours of sleep, I (Ray) did get my best view of Mars ever (we've only been at this less than 2 years). Thanks Bill, Brent, Padraig, and the rest of the CAS! We're looking forward to cool days and dark clear nights at the 2nd annual MMSS.
