Chris; Another great shot from the 80mm RFT, I am picking up an 80ED tomorrow = and I need to start saving for a DSLR. It looks like fun astrophotography. I love the differences in color in that shot, the brown of the dust, the silver of the stars nearby and the black of the dark nebula. Great stuff; Steve Coe -----Original Message----- From: az-observing-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:az-observing-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Schur Sent: Friday, June 22, 2007 8:43 PM To: Rik Hill; Az-Observing List; Mike Bakich Astronomy; Adam Block; Bob Erdmann; Chuck Burton; Steve Coe; EVAC list; Stuart Heggie; Jerry = Bonnell APOD); Joe Orman; Albert Levy; Jerry Lodriguss; Steve Mandel; = Thelma/John Ofarrell; ARTHUR PICCINATI; Randy Peterson; Rich Jacobs; Rick Rotramel AZ77); Rick Scott; Robert Nemiroff APOD; S&T Gallery; Arlene Schur; Dawn Schur; Lon Shelton; Serge Theberge; Paul Tierney; Vince; Peter Wehinger Subject: [AZ-Observing] M7 in The tail of the Scorpion Here is the latest shot from our ultra dark observatory in Happy Jack, of the star field around M7 with our Stellarvue. The sheer number of stars in this part of the sky is staggering, and you will also note that few blue stars lie here - because everything in this field is so dust obscured by interstellar dust near the galactic center, the stars have a strong yellowish to brown tint. http://www.schursastrophotography.com/xtiastro/m7.html Comments?
