Bernard; As always, another great image. Several things stand out. The first is the detail and color of M109. A great image. The next is the number of faint fuzzy's in the image. I think I can identify 12 other galaxies in the full size image. The star color is great along with capturing very faint stars. I have the UCAC 2.0 DB for TheSky 6 loaded and I only show a small fraction of the stars in your image. I have held off doing it for a long time because I thought it was too small for my setup, but I was surprised at the detail I was able to get. I still can't wait to do this with my new CDK17, but until that is up and running this is what I was able to get. This is an nice barred spiral galaxy about "85.5+/-25 million light years" away in the constellation Ursa Major. http://www.azstarman.net/M109.htm Bernard -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
