[AZ-Observing] Luis Martinez to Speak at SAC Meeting on Friday, June 10

Luis Martinez will be speaking at this Friday's meeting of the Saguaro
Astronomy Club. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Grand Canyon University.

Luis will speak about his efforts in astrometry and photometry from his back
yard near Casa Grande. Thanks to the advances made in amateur grade
telescopes, software, and CCD cameras, backyard astronomers can contribute
valid astronomical research, and are doing real science shoulder to shoulder
with their professional counterparts. This presentation will serve as an
introduction to astrometry and photometry, based on his experience.
