Stan,
I'm a member of the Arizona Outdoor Travel Club, a local hiking and biking
club. We hold our monthly meetings at the Scottsdale public Library which
gives us a place for the meeting as well as a place to gather before and
after the meeting.

Have you check with your local library?
My wife is in an informal group that meets once a month at the Glendale
library. They aren't incorporated, nor do they have insurance.
You may able to secure the use of one of their meeting rooms.
