Hello Arizona astronomers,
I'm in Tucson for the week-end and I forgot my telescope (the optical tube,
I have the mount and all the accessories...) at home in Scottsdale! I've
been taking a picture of the moon every day for the past 24 days with the
goal of covering a full lunar cycle. I was really hoping to take one of the
final pictures tomorrow morning from Tucson.
So, if anyone is planning on observing all night long (the Moon wont rise
until very early in the morning, I was planning on taking the picture
around 6.30am) or would be willing to let me borrow their telescope for one
night, that would be amazing!
I'd be happy to buy a 6-pack or anything else to my hero who would save the
day.
I've been taking the previous pictures with an Orion ed80 (focal
length=480mm), So anything with focal length of 480+mm would do (I can
always down-sample the images).
Alternatively, if you or someone you know is driving from the Scottsdale
area to Phoenix today, I can get you in touch with my roommates to pickup
the telescope.
I wont have much access to the internet during the day, but you can reach
me at 812-325-6375 (recently moved from Indiana...).
