Not bad for an amateur astronomer! (Wink, wink) Awesome image, Jon, as usual! This is an LRGB image, which means the luminance was shot through a luminance (clear) filter. The red emission nebula won't be as striking as in the hydrogen-alpha filtered pictures and the stars are not fitlered out. But the small blue reflection nebula in the top center pretty much disappears from those images, so it's a bit of give and take. Also the LRGB gives a more 'natural' look (in my opinion). I had a good time at the star party. There was a great group of people there. It was good to find out that there are other Ham Radio people in the local amateur astronomy community.
