[AZ-Observing] Fire threatening Mt. Wilson Observatory

Amateur astronomer contacts in southern California have just today 
mentioned the very serious fire that is now threatening the historic Mt. 
Wilson Observatory in the San Gabriel Mountains, overlooking Pasadena 
and Los Angeles.

Evidently the Observatory staff have been safely evacuated, and fire 
crews are on scene and working hard to prevent the fire from sweeping 
through the Observatory grounds.

The UCLA/Mt.Wilson Solar Tower web cam would ordinarily provide live 
views of the surrounding mountaintop, but the connection seems to be 
slow or perhaps not functioning, no doubt due to a high volume of traffic...
