Yes, it's less than a tenth of an a.u. away, and moving 9 degrees per day.
On Cloudynights, John Bortle pointed out that this is an old comet whose
nucleus is depleted of volatiles. As a result, it likely will not sport a
long tail.
I did a sequence of 30 frames this morning, each unfiltered 90-second
exposures tracked on the comet. My result was similar to yours. The star
field was very rich, as it passed through Steve Coe's "off-ramp" Milky Way
feature in Ophiuchus.
