I read Joe's post and decided to try for the comet myself. Obscuring the sun behind the wall of my condo, I took Joe's directions and spotted the comet using 20x100 binoculars. The coma as expected was bright with maybe 1/4-1/2 degree tail visible. Never thought I would observe a comet in broad daylight. Fantastic. Think I might haul out the scope. -FRANK P.S. Thanks Joe for the heads-up.
